Arundhati Roy’s true India

After meeting with Arundhati Roy, Man Booker Prize winner, several times in India I have written her in-depth portait for Pismo. Magazyn opinii. It describes how India’s darling turned into an enemy of the state. Through her eyes, we can see modern India and it’s major problems.

I’m striving to move away from a dominant narrative about India (at least in Poland). It’s no longer a land of yoga, enlighment, and beaches (what I call “a tourist masala”). It’s a land of discrimination, nationalization, radicalization, and injustice. I follow Roy in her clear view on the matters and strong opinions.
